As always, courtesy of Tuesday Morning Quarterback - Poolies are encouraged to read his entire article this week:

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 1: After being plus-13 on turnovers in 16 regular-season games, New Orleans was plus-seven in three postseason contests.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 2: For the second consecutive season, the league's lowest-ranked rushing team made the Super Bowl, and lost.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 3: Drew Brees and Peyton Manning combined to complete 63 of 84 pass attempts.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 4: The Colts scored three touchdowns this season on turnover and kick returns; the Saints scored 11.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 5: The Colts gained 423 yards on offense, averaged 6.8 yards per offensive play and scored only 17 points.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 6: Manning is 9-9 in the postseason in his career.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 7: After setting an NFL record this season with seven come-from-behind fourth-quarter wins, Indianapolis let New Orleans come from behind in the fourth quarter and win the Super Bowl; the Saints outscored the Colts 15-0 in the final quarter.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 8: Indianapolis and New Orleans opened the season a combined 27-0, and closed it a combined 5-6.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 9: Discounting games it made no attempt to win, Indianapolis is on a 23-0 streak in the regular season and a 2-2 stretch in the postseason.

Stats of the Super Bowl No. 10: The Saints became the first Super Bowl victor to post three consecutive victories over teams led by quarterbacks who had won a Super Bowl (Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, Manning).

Playoffs Wrap-up

With the Saints win in the Super Bowl, our Playoffs Pool is now complete. Brandi (crshrcom25) ends up as the Playoffs Champion with a total of 147 points. Brandi had the fewest points in Rounds 1 & 2 then managed to hold on to the lead through the late rounds, finishing in 10th place in the Conference Championship round and the Super Bowl. Brandi will be getting a payment for $90.00.

With his Perfect Pick (and 0 points) in the Super Bowl, Steven (SlotCarAce) moved into 2nd place from 5th place after the Conference Championships. Steven was tied for 10th in Round 1, finished 2nd in Round 2, 8th in Round 3 and 1st in Round 4 to finished the playoffs pool with 152 points. Steven will collect $37.50.

3rd place goes to "Yours Truly" -- 5th place in Round 1, 5th place in Round 2, 9th place in Round 3 and 3rd place in the Super Bowl netted me 162 points. The 3rd place prize is $22.50.

That's it for NFL Pools this season. I'll do minor updates to the site throughout the off-season, but they're likely to be very infrequent (and I doubt anyone will visit the site). Look for an announcement about the 2010 pools sometime in August
